Last June 26, Smart launched their newest service that will cater its subscribers and revolutionized the way Filipinos experience the power of unlimited calls. Tagged as “Smartalk: Smart’s Ultimate Unlimited Calls”, this service lets you do unlimited calls for P100 in five (5) days and P500 for thirty (30) days.

Last Friday, November 2, 2007, we went back to Smart Wireless Center in Festival Mall Alabang to report the problem “again” about the error in the mobile device (N92) regarding their myTV service. It happened before (October 28) and the customer representative at that time provided solutions in which he did by re-setting/re-format the mobile device. We don’t have any ideas as to what was the cause of the device error. The rep. didn’t provide any extra details about the possibilities on how did the error occurred on the first place.

There’s a lot of things keeping me from acting normally for the past weeks. ^_^. However, these won’t hinder me from blogging and at least visit some blogs and able to comment on some posts. I do have several draft posts since the start of my “so called” vacation status. Aside from these, we are still processing our SmartBRO SME application on one of Smart’s Wireless Centers. We’re hoping for an immediate approval.
This is my random post which includes 2 different topics related to my “kinaaabalahan” from the past weeks. Traffic surge to my blog due to my previous music album review posts and the Smart MyTV tests.

I received a text message today from Smart Free Alert informing me of a new service from one of it’s subscriber based services. The previous Smart flat rate calls that gives you budget-friendly calls within Smart’s network has just been modified. Instead of initialing calls within Smart and Talk n Text subscribers, Smart has included other networks as well.
For those of you who didn’t know, my smart sim card is preloaded with SmartLoad menu. My sim was previously used as a retailer sim that loads SmartLoad denominations.

Yeah, you read it right. I guess Smart joined the bandwagon on regular budget loads that Globe introduced recently. So, 15 pesos is the new lowest load from Smart. This morning, I received a text notification from Smart about the new service and the SmartLoad menu.

The text message I received from Smart’s free alert says:
Sa Jan18, may bagong LAHAText35load (Buddy and TnT) with 100 text to all networks for 1 day. Meron ding LAHAText20 load (TnT) with 50 text to all networks for 1 day.
Procedures to load Smart LAHAText35 and 20, click here.
So, Smart unleashed it’s new budget friendly service that aims at Smart subscribers who use text frequently instead of calls (well there’s nothing new about it, Philippines is the text capital of the world). The nice thing about this service is that you can have 100 or 50 amount of text messages in your load credit that you can use not only for Smart subscribers but to Globe and Sun subscribers as well. So spending 35 pesos for 100 text messages to all networks and 20 pesos for 50 to all networks is really a budget saver. However, I still have this feeling that it will not last or will be a trial service. The text message didn’t indicate if the service will last for a certain date. All I think for now is that maybe again Smart will make this as experiment and try if subscribers will hold onto this service. If not, they will rip it off along with the previous services they already removed. Sigh!
Another thing, the service for updating SmartLoad menu is temporarily down. So, the guys at Smart had thought of some ways of loading this new service without the need for updating the retailers SmartLoad menu. So, they use 343 as their portal for this service which is by the way the number to be used when updating SmartLoad menu. I think problems about updating the menu (which I and some experienced last year) was thrown at them so the updating is not possible at the moment.
