The Entourage

No, not the HBO TV Series “The Entourage” every Sunday night. I am talking about my participation on next month’s upcoming wedding of two of my close friends (Ruth Villavicencio and Richmond Acuna) who will tie the knot on April 18, 2009 at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club chapel. I’m part of the wedding entourage as one of the cord sponsor together with my partner Abigail. Finally, after almost 8 years of their relationship’s ups and downs, they finally make it through where they will be united as one.

Event-filled week

I had an event-filled/busy week last February. The 4th week of February to be precise where I attended a Christening, visited our soon be be house, fixed and cleaned our new shop in Sto. Tomas in the province of Batangas, purchased needed hardware for my PC in Odiongan, installed and tried a new OS in our new PC. Also this week, I had gone to Romblon, Romblon along with my relatives to attend my cousin’s first death anniversary and reformatted my 2 PC’s here in Odiongan.

SM Hypermarket held it’s first blogger writing contest that was previously announced last July 3, 2007 at Taste Asia. Last Thursday, it’s the time to announce the winners from the blog writing contest. Taste Asia 2, was also a venue to meet bloggers of all shapes and sizes and a chance for others who failed to attend the first Taste Asia event. Lots of free food, drinks, raffles and freebies. Hosted by Marcelle and Sorsi, the event went smoothly until 11 pm.

Expressionistas at Leslie’s Restaurant and Starbucks Coffee in Tagaytay

A brief intro on our barkada. “Prex” or “Expressionista” is the official brand name of our barkadahan. It was formed and founded way back in our college days by ourselves. Expressionista simply means “individual expressions“, the different expressions one particular individual in the group reveal. It is an assortment of unique expressive attitudes combined into one entity. A group who usually rants about anything and anyone, direct and indirect. It is a group who thinks as one, and acts as one. I don’t know if these definitions of the word “Prex” is the appropriate one to describe. We don’t have a solid meaning nor come up with the definition about the name of our group. Hence, I provided these based on my experiences and observations.
One of our friends Ruth and Mon arrived a week ago from Singapore. They have issued a one week work leave for them to spend time with their families here in the Philippines. One of the planned events was the despedida along with the Prex in Tagaytay that happened last Saturday.

And the winners are…

This is a delayed post (a day late actually) about the event (Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2007) held last Wednesday August 1, 2007 at Max’s Restaurant in Park Square Makati. I never had the chance to create an entry of the said event due to my trip to Batangas pier yesterday. I had to accompany my mom into delivering 8 large bags of Natasha products to be shipped in Romblon (even at that time I have a headache).

Bloggers got a taste of Taste Asia last night

Wee! I finally met the bloggers behind the famous blogs in the Philippine blogosphere. It was my first time to attend this kind of event where I mingled with fellow bloggers that I’ve known online. It wasn’t easy to fit in at first, but on the long run I get the hang of it as I introduced myself to new faces.
The event was held in Taste Asia located at the north wing of the SM Mall of Asia. I was invited days before the event by Lalon and later agreed to come. I ask for Ms. Shari to put me on the list so I can attend the said event. Yesterday July 3, I went to Glorietta to watch Transformers movie before going to the event. “Tutal, I’ll be going out naman, so why not watch a movie first before going to the event. I’ll be meeting also 2 of my prex’s after the movie so I can hand over the mp3 CD I burned for them. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish the movie because heck it was long… 2 hours and 30 minutes and that time I need to meet my friends at Food choices in G4. We parted ways and me rode a bus going to MoA.
