My|Phone T22 Dual Active Sim Phone

I bought a new phone last month to replace my aging Nokia 3300 music phone that was in my possession for the past 4 years. Imagine it is still functioning well despite its torture from previous drops. I took care of my personal gadgets that’s why some of them lasts longer.

The need for a replacement phone started when I had another cheap phone from Nokia to handle our loadwallet business in my shop. I started carrying two mobile phones in my pocket. One personal (3300) and one cheap Nokia phone (forgot what the model number is) for my loading. It’s difficult to put them on both sides of your pocket. I don’t want to buy those small bags just to lug my 2 mobile phones inside it. I just don’t like something dangling on my waistline. I wondered if there is one phone that can handle two sims, that’ll be great. There are previous workaround to this problem. The mobile techie guys had created a two sim device that enables the phone to switch from one sim to the other by keying the code to shutdown the phone and switch to the other sim when the phone is rebooted. Compatible phones I know was the Nokia 3210. Now I won’t dig to that since 3210 is way old now. And then comes the first dual active sim phone in the market.

My|Phone launched the first ever dual active sim phone in the Philippines. Dual active means two different sim cards on the phone working at the same time. You don’t need to turn off the mobile phone just to switch to the other. On the phone’s display, you could actually see two signal strength from two sim cards. Now that is so cool. I immediately planned to buy one and I did on one of the mobile phone stores in Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa. So what are the other features of this phone aside from its dual active sim phone?

I like the touch screen feature of the T22 that resembles like that of the previous touch phone from Ericcson and the now famous iPhone from Apple. T22 includes a stylus with another one for free. The audio on the loudspeaker that is located at the rear just below the camera lens is clear and incorporates surround sound. The limitations on this phone compared to other phones in the market is the message tone setting. You cannot add pre-customized or downloaded tones to the message tones setting. Only the ring tone settings are allowed. Also you cannot install applications in the my|phone.
