Jed is “Only Human”
It’s nice to hear Jed Madela sing one of those classic and revived hit songs of the 80’s from his previous two albums. I just can’t get enough of his singing prowess, the way he sang the songs full of life and energy. Listening to his album brings back fond memories of yesteryears. I’ve been experiencing “the water effect” whenever I listen to Jed’s majestic voice. His high notes gives me the goosebumps. Haha. I don’t know why.
Jed Madela is considered one of the very best singers in the country today. This June, he released another album entitled “Only Human” from Universal Records. The reason behind the name of the album was influenced by a comment made by Lea Salonga last February during her concert here in the Philippines.
“You’re not human.” I was told that my voice was too neat to be that of an ordinary mortal. So there, I want to show that I’m “Only Human”,’ Jed explains.
His singing style is really amazing. No wonder he won as overall champion in the 2005 World Championship of the Performing Arts in the United States where he is now invited to be a judge this coming July.

Wee! This album kicks ass. I won’t be surprised if this album of his make it pass platinum… or even gold. I love the song “Hard Habit To Break” with the collaboration of Mr. pure energy Gary Valenciano. Their duet is one in a million. Two of the best singers collaborated and devoted their energy into a song. Results in which a listener can’t handle. Wahehe. Another fave song was the duet together with Rachelle Ann Go. The song “Narito” (originally sung by Gary V.) spices the albums taste into perfection. The high notes are superb and the delivery of the song is outstanding.
I’m suggesting to those listeners who want to have a copy of the album to purchase the original and to buy from legitimate music stores. Not those found in bangketa’s or compiled ready to download from file sharing websites. Please support OPM artists. Ok lang na piratihin ang foreign, wag lang ang pinoy artists. wahehe!
