El Cartel: The Big Boss
Let’s talk about music, shall we? It’s been months since I last made a post about new music albums. This time, join me as I indulge myself into reggae madness.
El Cartel: The Big Boss is the new album of Grammy award winning Reggaeton artist “Daddy Yankee” that debuted last June 5, 2007. Since his previous album “Barrio Fino” went on Platinum on U.S., this new album of Daddy Yankee harbors popular collaborations/guest apperances like Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Akon and Nicole from Pussycat Dolls.
Remember when “Gasolina” debuted here in the Philippines? It was a phenomenal hit both in music video and in the airwaves. Some made it as a dance number on parties, live TV performances and the like. Although most listeners didn’t know who sang that song, the important is that Filipinos liked it. Even though most of the lyrics are purely Puerto Rican, the beat made us thump our feet to the ground.
Daddy Yankee’s El Cartel Album boasts a wide array of 21 songs each with its unique PR style and native language. The beat that captures the attention of young generations absorbs the genre of a phenomenal new reggae. What I like most in this album was the collaborations of popular artist’s. Akon is well known for his current hit “Don’t Matter” and with his appearance on the song “Bring It On” spices up the track. One of my favorite songs in the album was the “Plane to PR” featuring Will.i.am and “Impacto Remix” together with Fergie. The “Impacto Remix” was the current release on music videos and radio stations right now. The beat reminisces one of Daddy Yankee’s song “Gasolina” in his previous album. With this new release, I’m sure Daddy Yankee will make it pass Platinum.

@lalon: wee! d ako masyado nakakapag-online. lalo na this week busy ako. gnawa mo ba yung new layout mo frm scratch or pre-made?BR/BR/kng balak mo frm scratch, i recommend using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Kelangan alam mo rin ung Blogger API’s like “BlogDateHeader” sa template mo.BR/BR/kng pre-made nman iyan, medyo madali na kc CSS and HTML codes na lang modify mo. Additional kung gagamit ka pa ng javascript, flash or kung anung script man yan. ehehe.
yup from scratch po yun.. kinopy paste ko na lang po yung blogger apis dun gumagana naman po sya kaya lang may isang malaking flaw as in major flaw.. haaay ang hirap po kasi i-explain eh pero i think sa indexing yun.. basta explain ko seo sa taste of asia event.. thanks pala!
